Chapter twenty
THAT I MAY KNOW HIM, AND THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION, AND THE FELLOWSHIP OF HIS SUFFERINGS, BEING MADE CONFORMABLE UNTO HIS DEATH Philippians 3:10

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death is the born again experience of all believers in Christ

That I may know him (i.e. Christ)
This how we came to know Christ; we repented, believe the gospel and was baptised in His name (i.e. in the name of Jesus Christ Mark 1:14-15, Acts 2:36-38 (8:12, 35-38, 16:30-33)

NOTE:
• The scenario of a man born blind received his sight; without knowing Jesus John 9:1-38 (see vs. 17, 34-38)

The power of his (i.e. Christ) resurrection
This is to attain, by experiencing the resurrection of the dead (i.e. the first resurrection) Philippians 3:11, 21, 1 Corinthians 15:42-58 (see vs. 42-47, 49-50), 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 20:1-6 (see vs. 5) (see Vol.4 Study Guide on the Gospel of Christ explains and gives insight or understanding of all topics or subjects: Chapter six: The gospel of Christ explains and gives insight or understanding about resurrection of the dead)

suffering

RF: 1 Peter 2:19, 4:12-19; 1 Peter 1:11 (4:13, 2 Corinthians 1:3-7, James 5:10, Romans 8:18); Jude 7

The fellowship of His sufferings (i.e. the suffering of Christ):
This is to be revile (i.e. insulted), hated and persecuted for righteousness' sake; they will say all manner of evil against you falsely because of Christ Matthew 5:10-12, Luke 6:22-23, John 15:18-21, 1 Peter 3:14-17

death

RF: 2 Corinthians 4:7-12; Ezekiel 33:11; Numbers 23:10 (Revelation 14:12-13); Hebrews 2:15; Revelation 20:6, 14 (1 Corinthians 15:26)

Being made conformable unto his (i.e. Christ) death
This is His (i.e. Christ) death; that is the death of Christ is in our body, and His life is also in our body. The death of Christ will make all believers in Christ to die the death of the righteous or in the Lord, and also to attain, by experiencing the resurrection of the dead (i.e. the first resurrection) 2 Corinthians 4:7-10, Numbers 23:10, Revelation 14:13, 20:1-6 (see vs. 5)
