John’s epistles or letters was to remind God’s people about the gospel, which is also the continuity of the gospel

John wrote his first epistle or letter (i.e. 1st John) to his little children, fathers and young men 1 John 2:1-2, 12-14


His encouragement and admonition to his little children, fathers and young men
• We should not sin but keep His commandment (i.e. the love of God to love one another) 1 John 1:1-10, 2:1-17, 24-26, 28-29, 3:1-24, 5:1-20
• Beware of antichrist and many antichrists 1 John 2:18-23, 26-27, 4:1-6
